TrussDoor Detention Hollow Metal Door and Frame System
Trussbilt hollow metal doors and frames are used as prison doors and jail doors as well as many other security applications. Our steel hollow metal doors use Trussbilt's unique TrussCore design. This monocoque design efficiently captures the enormous strength of the steel door skins. In our unique welding process, Trussbilt doors are welded every three inches, vertically and horizontally, linking the steel door surfaces and forming a single welded structure. A typical prison door has over 800 welding points, 50% more than the steel detention doors made by our competitors. This unified structure provides greater protection against delamination.
Custom built to architectural specifications, Trussbilt jail and prison doors can accommodate any requirements for size, window and hardware configurations, security levels, fire ratings, and additional door options such as cuff ports, shackle ports, speaker and intercom devices, and Trussbilt's Safe-T-Feed device. All options are available for both sliding and swing doors.
Hollow metal doors are available in mild steel, galvanized steel (A60) and stainless steel. Trussbilt detention hollow metal doors meet all ASTM requirements for security levels 1 through security level 4.
Detention Hollow Metal Frames
Trussbilt detention hollow metal frames can be customized to fit any combination of door style, height and width. As with Trussbilt's detention hollow metal doors, frames are available in mild steel, galvanized steel (A60) and stainless steel.
Applications for Trussbilt hollow metal frames include: security exterior curtain walls of any size or shape; security indoor borrowed light systems such as control rooms and dayrooms; exterior curtain walls for recreation yards; and high security cell windows. Trussbilt's detention hollow metal products are also available for the following applications:

Looks like what we refer to as "jamb up"
2005-10-24 11:59:00 by zpperAlumin/vynal bulb/flap weatherstripping that comes in a "weatherstrip jamb-up kit"--2pcs 7feet long for side jamb, [email protected] for head jamb. You hacksaw pieces to your size. The long leg is hole pre punched, and kit comes with a small bag of #6pan head phillips 1/2in metal screws which we promptly discard in favor of chisel point selp-tapping short screws when used on metal door frames. The included screws work for wood, but must be drilled with 1/8in bit for steel jambs. You can cut to any size for other uses.
Door jamb up weatherstripping kits can be had at Commercial Builing Hardware in yellow pages, maybe box fixit stores still sell a flimsyer version [ alum pcs are of much thinner ga on the ones I've seen at those places ]
