Fiberglass or steel doors for rental property

Any opinions? steel seems like it gets banged up pretty easily. is it worth going with fiberglass for the durability?
i'd like to replace two of the three existing wood doors with wood (cheapest option), but the contractor doesn't want to bother himself with building new frames and insists on prehung doors.
