And are integral to the framework of the building, as opposed to windows with separate frames that all come as one unit-plus they don't open. You can do this on a residence, but they are extremely expensive and especially so if they aren't part of the original design.
Not only are they expensive to purchase, if you ever have to replace them you would need to use a glazier that deals with that kind of commercial glass and not just a window repair guy...much better in the long run to be able to use standard factory replacement parts and panels than to have to have custom stuff made up if there's a problem down the road, and there's warrantys to consider as well
